Ingredients

-50 grams puffed rice

-20 grams makhana

-10 grams puffed amaranth

-20 grams roasted chana

-50 grams sprouts

-1 small onion

-1 small tomato

-1/4 cucumber

-2 slices of raw mango

-1/4 cup pomegranate

-Sweet and spicy chutney (Refer sweet and spicy chutney)

-Salt as per taste

-Baked sev (Refer baked sev recipe) 

Directions

Step 1

Mix puffed rice, puffed Amarnath and roasted chana together.

Step 2

Dry roast makhana for 5 minutes and mix with the mixture above.

Step 3

Add in sprouts, chopped cucumber, onion and tomato along with chutneys and salt as per taste.

Step 4

Garnish with baked sev before serving.

Health Benefits

This recipe is a healthier version of bhel. Addition of puffed amaranth, roasted chana, makhana and sprouts add on to the protein content and nutritive value of the recipe.
