Ingredients

-50 grams cashews (soaked for about 1 hour)

-4 to 5 tsp raw organic honey

-1 tsp lemon juice

-1 pinch cardamom powder

-1 pinch pista powder (for garnishing)

-3 to 4 saffron threads

Directions

Step 1

Puree the soaked cashews into a fine, smooth paste.

Step 2

Add honey and lime juice and blend once.

Step 3

Add pista and cardamom powder along with saffron threads and mix it.

Step 4

Refrigerate.

Health Benefits

This recipe is an excellent, easy and tasty replacement for the store-bought shrikhand which is usually loaded with sugar. Raw, organic honey is a good, unadulterated natural sweetener whereas and cashews give the perfect texture required for shrikhand.
