Ingredients

-50 grams fresh coconut

-50 grams dates

-30 grams rice flour

-1 pinch cardamom

-1 pinch nutmeg

-30 ml water 

Directions

Step 1

Grate fresh coconut and deseed dates.

Step 2

Pressure cook dates and coconut for 1 whistle. Once cool, cook again until the filling looks dry.

Step 3

Boil water, add rice flour. Turn off the heat, stir and let it sit for 10 minutes. Knead into a soft dough. Now take a small ball of dough and make a cavity in it.

Step 4

Create modak pattern, put in the filling and close from top. Steam for about 10 minutes and serve hot.
