Ingredients

-150 grams coconut flour

-25 grams cashew powder

-10 grams oat flour

-1 Apple

-3 to 4 tsp Organic Raw Honey or Date syrup

-1 pinch cardamom

-1 pinch nutmeg

-3 to 4 saffron threads

Directions

Step 1

Peel the skin of apple and puree to a smooth paste. Mix coconut flour, cashew powder and oats flour with the puree and cook on low flame until dry.

Step 2

Keep stirring until the mixture is slightly cool. 

Step 3

Knead well and shape into small pedas with your hands. Top them up with cardamom, nutmeg and saffron threads. Refrigerate for sometime before serving.

Health Benefits

This recipe is a tasty replacement for the store-bought pedhas which are usually high in their sugar content. Raw Organic Honey and Date Syrup are excellent natural sweeteners and a good sugar substitutes. Apples also impart natural sweetness and flavour to the pedhas.
