The Coconut Trio (Rakshabandhan special)

Klassy kiwi

  • Freshly grated coconut: 200 gm
  • Kiwi: 1 (finely chopped)
  • Coconut milk: 150 - 200 ml
  • Date powder:  60-70 gm

Zesty orange

  • Freshly grated coconut: 200 gm
  • Orange zest: 1 orange 
  • Coconut milk: 150 - 200 ml
  • Date powder:  60-70 gm

Easy Elaichi

  • Freshly grated coconut: 200 gm
  • Cardamom: 1 tsp (cardamom powder)
  • Coconut milk: 150 - 200 ml
  • Date powder:  60-70 gm


  1. In a saucepan add coconut milk and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add date powder to it and stir until it dissolves completely. 
  3. Then, add freshly grated coconut to it and mix well.
  4. Continue to cook the mixture at a medium flame and stir constantly till it becomes thick.
  5. Divide the mixture into 3 equal batches and add the flavors accordingly.
  6. Mix well and refrigerate it for an hour.
  7. Cut the barfi into equal pieces and serve.

Cooking Tip: You can prepare 1 whole batch or separate batches as per the flavors required.
